Three Palestinians, including two children, were killed and several others injured on Thursday after Israeli airstrikes targeted multiple civilian areas across the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian medical sources.

One of the deadliest attacks struck a tent sheltering displaced families in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. Medical officials said two Palestinians, including a child, were killed when Israeli warplanes bombed the site, while several others sustained injuries.

The casualties were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, where medical teams continue to work under increasingly difficult conditions amid severe shortages of medicine, fuel and medical supplies.

In a separate attack, another child was killed and several civilians wounded after an Israeli missile struck a residential apartment opposite the Al-Bureij Municipality building in central Gaza. The injured were also taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, six Palestinians were injured, one of them critically, after Israeli warplanes bombed an apartment building near Al-Ma'mouniya School in the Al-Rimal neighborhood west of Gaza City. Rescue teams and local residents rushed to the scene to search for additional victims trapped beneath the rubble.

The latest attacks come as Israeli bombardment continues across the besieged enclave, where densely populated residential neighborhoods, shelters for displaced families and civilian infrastructure have repeatedly come under fire.

According to Palestinian health authorities, the overall death toll from Israel's military offensive on the Gaza Strip has risen to 73,335, while 174,052 people have been wounded since October 7, 2023. Thousands more are believed to remain trapped beneath collapsed buildings, with rescue efforts severely hampered by the ongoing bombardment and the lack of heavy equipment.

Humanitarian organizations have repeatedly warned that Gaza is facing an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, with widespread destruction of homes, hospitals, schools and essential infrastructure. The continued blockade and restrictions on humanitarian aid have further deepened the crisis, leaving hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians struggling to access food, clean water, medical care and shelter.

International rights groups and United Nations officials have continued to call for an immediate ceasefire, the protection of civilians under international humanitarian law and unrestricted humanitarian access to the devastated territory as the humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate.
