Israeli drone strike in south Lebanon martyrs one, injures another

An Israeli drone strike targeted a civilian vehicle on the road linking Wadi al-Hujeir to Al-Ghandouriyeh in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, resulting in the martyrdom of one person and the injury of another, according to local sources.
The airstrike, which comes amid ongoing Israeli aggression along the Lebanese border, marked another brazen violation of Lebanese sovereignty by the Israeli occupation. The targeted area lies deep within Lebanese territory, and the strike occurred in broad daylight, endangering civilians in a heavily populated area.
Eyewitnesses reported that the targeted vehicle was traveling normally along a public road when it was struck by an Israeli drone, triggering panic among local residents.
Lebanese civil defense teams and emergency responders rushed to the scene to evacuate the wounded and secure the area, which remains under the constant threat of Israeli surveillance and repeated airspace violations.
This latest attack adds to the growing list of Israeli provocations and drone incursions, which have escalated since the outbreak of the Zionist regime's war on Gaza. The Lebanese resistance and political leadership have consistently condemned these attacks as violations of international law and acts of aggression against Lebanese sovereignty and security.
The identity of the martyr has not yet been released, and the injured individual is being treated in a local hospital. The Lebanese people continue to stand resilient in the face of Israeli attacks, reaffirming their right to resist occupation, defend their land, and protect their civilians from foreign aggression.
Calls are mounting for international condemnation of Israel’s repeated assaults inside Lebanon, with demands for urgent accountability and an end to the illegal use of force against the Lebanese population. (ILKHA)
