Israeli forces shoot Palestinian youth near separation wall in Al-Ram
A Palestinian young man was injured by live ammunition fired by Israeli forces near the separation wall in the town of Al-Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem, local sources reported.
According to the sources, Israeli soldiers opened fire on the young man while he was in the vicinity of the separation wall, striking him in the lower limbs. He was subsequently taken for medical treatment. Details regarding the severity of his injuries were not immediately available.
The incident comes amid continued Israeli military activity and restrictions affecting Palestinians in areas surrounding occupied Jerusalem and across the occupied West Bank.
Al-Ram has witnessed similar incidents in recent months. In a separate incident two days earlier, a Palestinian resident of Beit Furik was also reportedly injured by Israeli gunfire in the town.
The repeated use of live fire in areas near the separation wall has raised continuing concerns over the safety of Palestinian residents and workers in the occupied West Bank. Previous incidents in Al-Ram have also resulted in Palestinians being wounded or killed by Israeli forces.
The latest incident adds to a broader pattern of violence in the occupied West Bank, where Palestinians have faced military raids, shootings, arrests and movement restrictions. (ILKHA)
