Over 220 civilians killed in ongoing Israeli aggression on Iran

The Islamic Republic of Iran continues to reel from the deadly Israeli bombardment that has targeted multiple cities across the country.
In the latest official figures, Iran’s Ministry of Health confirmed that 224 civilians have lost their lives since the onset of the Zionist regime’s unprovoked aggression, with women and children making up the majority of the victims.
According to Iranian officials, the Israeli attacks have predominantly struck densely populated residential areas, causing widespread devastation and inflicting immeasurable suffering on innocent civilians. Among the most harrowing incidents, officials reported that in the northern Tehran district of Chamran, 10 children remain buried beneath the rubble of a demolished residential building. Rescue efforts are underway, although none of the trapped victims have yet been recovered.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei condemned the continued Israeli assaults, accusing the regime of manipulating international perception by falsely portraying its strikes as surgical and limited to military targets. “The reality is something entirely different,” Baghaei stated, revealing that over 70 women and children were killed in just three separate attacks.
“The occupation is correct about one thing: its attacks are precise – but they are precisely aimed at women and children,” Baghaei declared, denouncing what he called “the regime’s habitual brutality” against innocent civilians.
The Zionist regime’s latest wave of airstrikes reached the heart of Tehran on Saturday evening, with strikes reported along the central Valiasr Street, causing civilian injuries and further stoking public outrage. Simultaneously, explosions were reported in Tabriz, indicating a coordinated assault across several urban centers.
Iranian media also confirmed that Israeli warplanes targeted a Defense Ministry-operated complex in northeastern Tehran. While the facility itself withstood the attack, collateral damage affected nearby administrative buildings, raising concerns about Israel’s blatant disregard for civilian infrastructure and international law.
In a separate incident, Iranian security forces confirmed that a drone strike targeting the headquarters of the Greater Tehran Police failed to inflict serious damage. Police operations have since resumed normal activity.
As the Iranian nation mourns its dead and continues rescue and recovery efforts, officials vow that the aggression will not go unanswered, and the resilience of the Iranian people will prevail in the face of this unlawful and brutal campaign. (ILKHA)
