Qatar has called on the international community to intensify pressure on the Israeli occupation to fully implement its commitments under the Gaza ceasefire agreement, stressing that the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has fulfilled all of its obligations in accordance with the agreed roadmap.

Speaking during a press conference in Doha on Tuesday, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari said Hamas had completed all commitments required during the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, including the release of Israeli captives, demonstrating its adherence to the negotiated terms.

Ansari accused the Israeli occupation of repeatedly violating the ceasefire by continuing military attacks across the Gaza Strip while maintaining a crippling blockade that has severely restricted the entry of food, medicine, shelter materials, and other humanitarian supplies desperately needed by the besieged Palestinian population.

He warned that nearly 2.4 million Palestinians in Gaza—including approximately 1.5 million displaced people—continue to endure catastrophic humanitarian conditions as the occupation persists in limiting the flow of life-saving aid into the enclave.

The Qatari spokesman urged influential international actors to exert meaningful pressure on the Israeli occupation to comply with the ceasefire agreement, emphasizing that full implementation is essential for launching long-awaited reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip after months of widespread destruction.

Ansari further noted that the Israeli occupation has yet to officially declare its position regarding the roadmap for the next phase of the agreement, which is expected to include a complete Israeli military withdrawal from Gaza alongside discussions on broader security arrangements.

Qatar reiterated its commitment to ongoing mediation efforts aimed at securing a lasting ceasefire, ending the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, and ensuring that the Palestinian people receive the protection, relief, and reconstruction assistance they urgently require.

Doha also reaffirmed that respecting the terms of the ceasefire agreement remains the only viable path toward alleviating the suffering of Gaza's civilian population and advancing efforts to restore stability to the war-ravaged territory. (ILKHA)
