Russian drone strike hits Wildberries warehouse in Leningrad region, injuring three
A Ukrainian drone attack on a Wildberries logistics warehouse in Russia's Leningrad region sparked a fire that injured three people, while a separate drone strike damaged a poultry storage facility in the same region.
Leningrad Governor Alexander Drozdenko said the warehouse, located in the Vsevolozhsky district, was struck by an unmanned aerial vehicle. The resulting fire injured three people, who were taken to hospital for treatment.
Drozdenko also reported that another drone hit a storage building at a poultry enterprise in the Kirovsky district. The building partially collapsed, but no injuries were reported.
Following the attacks, Wildberries announced that it had temporarily suspended operations at several logistics facilities in the affected area to ensure the safety of employees and assess the damage.
The incident comes as logistics infrastructure in western Russia has increasingly been targeted by long-range drone attacks amid the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Russian authorities have not yet provided details on the extent of the material damage or when the suspended operations will resume. (ILKHA)
