Thousands of demonstrators gathered in Bamako, the capital of Mali on Friday to protest the publication of a video containing blasphemous against Islam on social media.
The High Islamic Council of Mali (HCIM) called for protests after a video went viral showing a man making comments insulting the religion and stepping on a copy of the Holy Quran.
The participants denounced blasphemy in all its forms and condemned the heinous act of the video spread on social networks.
The protesters chanted slogans such as "no to blasphemy", "don't touch my religion", and "the Quran is untouchable" during the event. (ILKHA)
