Türkiye and Jordan deliver new humanitarian aid shipments to Lebanon
Türkiye and Jordan have delivered new humanitarian aid shipments to Lebanon as the country continues to face a worsening humanitarian situation amid ongoing attacks by the Israeli regime.
According to Lebanon's state-run National News Agency (NNA), the latest assistance included medical supplies from Türkiye and a large convoy of relief goods from Jordan.
A shipment of medicines from Türkiye arrived at the Port of Beirut, where it was received in the presence of Tolga Budak, Counsellor at the Turkish Embassy in Beirut.
Budak said the latest delivery was part of Türkiye's continued humanitarian support for Lebanon, noting that Ankara has now sent 40 shipments of medicines to the country.
He added that previous Turkish assistance included 7,200 tents, more than 10,000 food parcels, 28,000 blankets and 1,000 hygiene kits.
Jordan also delivered a 24-truck humanitarian convoy through the Masnaa border crossing.
The convoy carried medicines, hygiene supplies, infant formula and other relief items intended to support civilians affected by the crisis.
According to Lebanese authorities, the latest convoy marks Jordan's 12th humanitarian aid shipment to Lebanon since the escalation of the humanitarian emergency.(ILKHA)
