Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine's long-range forces had carried out a series of strikes against strategic military and energy targets inside Russia, saying the attacks successfully hit logistics centers in the Krasnodar and Stavropol regions, as well as oil infrastructure and vessels linked to Russia's so-called "shadow fleet."

In a statement published on Facebook, Zelensky said the operations targeted facilities involved in supporting Russia's military campaign against Ukraine.

"Today, Ukraine's long-range strikes successfully hit important targets in Russia's Krasnodar and Stavropol regions—logistics hubs involved in supplying the Russian army with drone components, navigation equipment and other military equipment—as well as another oil depot," Zelensky said.

According to the Ukrainian president, the strikes were aimed at disrupting Russia's military supply chain and reducing its ability to sustain operations on the battlefield.

Zelensky also said Ukrainian forces struck an oil depot, a tanker and four cargo ships allegedly belonging to Russia's so-called shadow fleet operating in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.

Kyiv has repeatedly accused Moscow of using a network of aging and lightly regulated vessels—commonly referred to as the "shadow fleet"—to transport Russian oil and other cargo in an effort to circumvent international sanctions imposed following the invasion of Ukraine.

Ukrainian authorities argue that targeting logistics infrastructure and maritime assets is intended to weaken Russia's military and economic capabilities while increasing pressure on Moscow.

Commenting on the operation, Zelensky said Ukraine was responding to Russia's continued military offensive by bringing the consequences of the war to military and logistical targets inside Russian territory.

"We are, quite justly, bringing the war back home—to Russia. Peace is needed, and Ukraine has presented the Russian side with every proposal. They must be forced to turn to diplomacy," he said.

The Ukrainian president also thanked members of the country's Defense Forces for carrying out the operation.

Russian authorities had not immediately commented on Zelensky's claims, and the reported strikes could not be independently verified.

The latest attacks come as Ukraine continues to expand its long-range strike capabilities, increasingly targeting Russian military infrastructure, fuel depots, air bases and logistics hubs far beyond the front lines in an effort to disrupt Moscow's war effort and complicate military resupply operations.
