The United States Department of State has strongly advised American citizens currently in Belarus to leave the country as soon as possible.
The State Department emphasized that US citizens should avoid traveling to Belarus, and those already in the country are urged to depart promptly.
Additionally, the agency cautioned Americans in Belarus to avoid mass events and demonstrations, reconsider transporting electronic devices, and exit social networks.
The recommendations also include drawing up an action plan for unforeseen circumstances and registering in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) for prompt notifications and emergency communication. (ILKHA)
