Türkiye's overseas producer prices rise 29.67% year-on-year in July
Türkiye's Overseas Producer Price Index (YD-PPI), which measures price changes for goods produced domestically and sold to foreign markets, rose 29.67% year-on-year and 2.51% month-on-month in July, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat). The index is closely monitored as an indicator of pricing trends in the country's export-oriented industries and international competitiveness.
TurkStat said the index increased 20.80% compared with the end of 2025, while the 12-month average rise reached 31.99%. The figures indicate that export producer prices continued to trend upward during the first seven months of the year.
Manufacturing drives annual increase
On an annual basis, prices in the mining and quarrying sector increased 38.81%, while the manufacturing sector recorded a 29.50% rise.
Among the main industrial groups, intermediate goods rose 30.24%, durable consumer goods increased 28.92%, non-durable consumer goods climbed 31.38%, capital goods advanced 18.79%, while the energy category posted the sharpest annual increase at 77.63%.
The data indicate that energy costs remained the largest contributor to producer price growth for exported goods, while manufacturing continued to account for the majority of the index due to its dominant role in Türkiye's export sector.
Energy records strongest monthly increase
On a monthly basis, prices in the mining and quarrying sector declined 0.32%, while manufacturing prices increased 2.55%.
Within the main industrial groups, intermediate goods rose 2.09%, durable consumer goods increased 1.01%, non-durable consumer goods climbed 1.76%, and capital goods gained 1.36%. The energy group recorded the strongest monthly increase, rising 13.22%.
The Overseas Producer Price Index is widely monitored as an indicator of cost trends affecting Turkish exporters and the competitiveness of Turkish products in international markets.(ILKHA)
