Türkiye's trade sales volume falls 4.5% in June
Türkiye's trade sales volume declined by 4.5% year-on-year in June, while retail sales volume increased by 11.8%, data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) showed.
TurkStat released its trade sales volume index data for June. The overall trade sales volume rose by 1.9% compared with the previous month.
During the month, sales volume in the wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles fell by 5.7%. Wholesale trade sales volume increased by 4%, while retail trade sales volume rose by 0.7%.
On an annual basis, trade sales volume declined by 4.5%. Sales volume in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles fell by 13.8%, while wholesale trade sales volume decreased by 9.4%.
In contrast, retail trade sales volume increased by 11.8% year-on-year. (ILKHA)
