Ankara to host leaders of all 32 NATO member states
Türkiye will host the leaders of all 32 NATO member states during the 36th NATO Summit in Ankara on July 7-8, bringing together heads of state and government from across the Alliance.
In addition to NATO leaders, numerous invited guests, nearly 100 ministers, senior diplomats, representatives of international organizations and thousands of foreign visitors are expected to attend the summit.
Nearly 3,000 journalists, television crews, photographers, digital media representatives and international news organizations from around the world have applied for accreditation to cover the event.
A total of 56,288 security personnel, including 48,841 police officers and 7,447 gendarmerie personnel, will be deployed to ensure security during the summit.
Participants will be served through three airports in Ankara, including Esenboğa and Mürted. The summit will be conducted under NATO's standard procedures, with leaders' discussions taking place behind closed doors under alliance-level confidentiality rules.
Media access will be limited to the opening session, during which NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is expected to deliver brief remarks outlining the summit's agenda and key issues.
Türkiye's Communications Directorate has established a special NATO task force to manage accreditation procedures, media operations, public diplomacy activities and crisis communications throughout the summit.
State broadcaster TRT will provide worldwide coverage of the event using 80 cameras positioned at 26 different locations.
Several side events will also be held on the margins of the summit, including parliamentary meetings, policy dialogues and security forums involving diplomats, policymakers and international think tanks. (ILKHA)
