HÜDA PARD calls for prosecution of dual Turkish-Israeli citizens over Gaza genocide
HÜDA PAR Mersin MP Faruk Dinç said that standing with Palestine and Gaza is not only a political position but a matter rooted in “human dignity, conscience, and moral responsibility,” during a youth program held in Mersin.
Dinç delivered his remarks at the Spring Activities Final Program organized by the HÜDA PAR Mersin Provincial Youth Wings, where youth, party representatives, and local participants gathered for speeches, social activities, and a football tournament ceremony.
Speaking at the event, Dinç emphasized that the ongoing humanitarian tragedy in Gaza continues to mobilize public conscience, noting that marches, rallies, and solidarity events held across different cities reflect a strong and sustained sensitivity toward the suffering of Palestinians.
He said these activities demonstrate that Muslims and conscientious people have not become accustomed to or indifferent toward what he described as ongoing oppression in the region, stressing the importance of maintaining awareness and unity.
Referring to a legislative proposal submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM), Dinç said the initiative aimed to address accountability regarding individuals holding dual Turkish–Israeli citizenship who were allegedly involved in acts related to the Gaza conflict.
He stated that the proposal had received attention from public and political circles but has yet to be formally discussed in Parliament.
In his remarks, Dinç used strong language, stating: “We do not want those who support oppression and injustice in our country. We do not want those who have taken part in crimes against innocent civilians. We will never allow such matters to be ignored or covered up.”
His statements were framed within a broader call for justice and accountability, particularly regarding the situation in Gaza.
Dinç also focused on youth issues, criticizing what he described as the tendency to view young people merely as an electoral audience during political periods. He stressed that youth should instead be seen as the “foundation of the nation’s future” and nurtured through education, values, and social responsibility.
He argued that many young people face challenges in education systems that, in his view, do not adequately combine academic training with moral and ethical development. He emphasized the importance of strengthening value-based education rooted in cultural and spiritual identity.
Dinç further stated that youth must be protected from social harms, including addiction and negative influences, and should be guided toward productive and meaningful roles in society.
Highlighting drug addiction as a major societal concern, Dinç said many families are suffering due to substance abuse and its consequences. He called for stronger action against drug trafficking networks, emphasizing that efforts must target not only street-level dealers but also the broader structures behind the trade.
He described the fight against drugs as both a social and moral responsibility, urging authorities and society to work together to protect young people from addiction and related harms.
Dinç further stated that many social problems stem from what he described as a weakening of moral and spiritual values. He stressed the importance of raising a generation grounded in faith, ethics, responsibility, and awareness of justice.
He said that strengthening these values is essential for building a more stable and compassionate society, adding that youth programs and community engagement play a key role in this effort.
HÜDA PAR representatives reiterated their commitment to working with young people and continuing initiatives focused on social development, education, and community solidarity.
The program concluded with a football tournament awards ceremony organized as part of the Spring Activities Final Program. The event featured several youth teams competing in a friendly atmosphere aimed at promoting unity, cooperation, and healthy competition.
The “Muslim Brothers” team, which won first place in the tournament, received their awards from MP Faruk Dinç. The second-placed Mevlana Sports team was awarded by HÜDA PAR Mersin Provincial Youth Wings Chairman Ferhat Pınar.
Organizers congratulated all participating teams and emphasized the importance of such activities in strengthening brotherhood, social cohesion, and youth engagement. The program ended with group photographs and continued informal youth-focused activities. (ILKHA)
