Arakan’s call from Yusuf al-Qaradawi

Yusuf al-Qaradawi, who called the Islamic world to take actions against the massacres of the Myanmar army and Buddhist gangs.
Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the President of the World Muslim Scholars Association, who called on the Islamic world to take actions against the Myanmar army and the Buddhist gangs and against the massacres of Arakanese Muslims, emphasized that the Islamic world and the Arab countries should not be silent on the massacre.
Al-Qaradawi, pointing out that there shouldn’t be silent against the genocide against Arakanese Muslims (Rohingya), noted that Islamic countries can make political and economic pressure on the Myanmar government if they wish.
Al-Qaradawi, who said that he is addressing to Arab and Islamic countries, said, “I am addressing to the Arab and Islamic countries, which are responsible for the presence of Allah, will be on account for this passivity, who are responsible for their brothers in Myanmar. Islamic countries can make political and economic pressure on the Myanmar government if they wish. We have seen that some other minorities are interested in the great powers and forced the Myanmar government to go to reconciliation with them. The Islamic religion instructs us to help our oppressed brothers and sisters in order to destroy the persecution and attacks even if it is by fighting with them.”
Al-Qaradawi, who urged Islamic countries to step in to stop the massacre, also talked about Turkiye's attitude towards Rohingya Muslims. “We salute the active diplomacy and important role of Turkiye and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan,” Qaradawi said.
Criticizing the attitude of the Arab countries, Qaradawi said that their activities on unnecessary topics and trivial issues between them kept them from their responsibility for their Muslim brothers. (ILKHA)
