Erdoğan delivers key to 350,000th post-disaster home in Adıyaman
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended a ceremony in Adıyaman on Saturday to mark the delivery of the 350,000th post-disaster home built in Türkiye’s earthquake-hit provinces.
Speaking at the ceremony, Erdoğan said the government took pride in reaching a major milestone in the reconstruction process following last year’s devastating earthquakes, which affected 11 provinces.
“We are having the pride of delivering the key of our 350 thousandth home that we have constructed in our 11 provinces,” he said. “I wish that our new homes will lead to auspicious outcomes, and pray my Lord to fill the homes of each and every brother and sister, who moved into their houses, with peace, security and prosperity.”
Erdoğan emphasized that the government had not abandoned the quake-affected regions or the victims, adding that the administration’s priority was to find solutions to citizens’ needs and restore normal living conditions.
“Today we are witnessing how the strength of our state and the solidarity of our nation have banded together in Adıyaman, one of the symbol cities of the Anatolian culture,” he said.
Authorities say construction and delivery of new homes will continue across all impacted provinces as part of the ongoing reconstruction and recovery efforts. (ILKHA)
