Erdoğan, Indonesian president discuss bilateral ties, regional issues in phone call
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, discussing bilateral relations as well as regional and global developments.
During the call, Erdoğan expressed satisfaction with the solidarity and cooperation between Türkiye and Indonesia on international platforms, saying that maintaining such coordination would serve the interests of both countries.
He also stressed the importance of further strengthening cooperation between Ankara and Jakarta across various fields, particularly trade and the defense industry.
Erdoğan said Türkiye would continue taking steps to expand bilateral cooperation and deepen ties with Indonesia.
The Turkish president also invited Subianto to attend the COP31 Leaders Summit, which will be held in Antalya.
The phone call comes as Türkiye and Indonesia continue efforts to expand their economic and strategic cooperation, with trade, investment and defense industry ties among the areas of growing bilateral engagement. (ILKHA)
