Fatal crash in Gaziantep: 8 dead, 11 injured in highway collision

A devastating traffic accident has occurred in the Islahiye district of Gaziantep, Türkiye, resulting in eight fatalities and multiple injuries.
The accident involved a head-on collision between a concrete mixer truck and a passenger minibus on the Islahiye-Hatay highway near the Agabey locality.
The identities of the victims, as well as the license plate and driver information of the minibus, are yet to be confirmed. Emergency services, including health officials, gendarmerie, and fire brigades, were immediately dispatched to the scene. The injured were transported to nearby hospitals by multiple ambulances, while the deceased were transferred to the morgue.
Gaziantep Governor Kemal Çeber confirmed the initial death toll, stating: “According to the information we have received at this time, eight of our citizens lost their lives in the accident, and eleven were injured.”
