The Hope Caravan Association (Umut Kervanı Derneği) in Adana has distributed educational sets to dozens of orphan and needy students ahead of the new academic year, thanks to the generous support of philanthropists.

The association provided stationery assistance to hundreds of orphan and underprivileged students. In addition to its ongoing food, in-kind, and cash aid programs for needy families, Hope Caravan organized a special stationery campaign to help students prepare for the school year.

Officials contacted families registered with the association and prepared customized aid packages based on each student’s educational level. Packages for primary, secondary, and high school students included a school bag, a lunch bag, pens, erasers, pencil sharpeners, various notebooks, and assorted activity materials.

The sets were handed over to the students who were invited to the association’s building.

Cevdet Dizlek, Vice President of the Umut Kervanı Adana Association, told an İLKHA correspondent that he hoped the 2026-2027 academic year would bring benefits to students, parents, and the country as a whole.

“We made great efforts so that our students would not feel embarrassed in front of their peers and would not lack educational tools and materials,” Dizlek said. “We made an appeal to our philanthropists. May God be pleased with them; our donors heeded our call. We met the educational needs of dozens of our students for the academic year and delivered them today.”

He added that the children showed great happiness upon receiving the aid. “I thank all the philanthropists who made this happiness possible and contributed to our children’s education. May our Lord accept their good deeds, grant them health, well-being, and wellness, and increase the blessings in their earnings.” (ILKHA)
