The Hope Caravan Association (Umut Kervanı Derneği) has launched a stationery assistance campaign in Malatya to help children from low-income and disadvantaged families prepare for the 2026–2027 academic year.

As part of the initiative, the association has prepared school-supply packages containing essential materials that students will need throughout the academic year. Each package includes three notebooks, pens, pastel paints, watercolors and other basic stationery items.

The association said the packages were carefully prepared to cover students’ essential school-supply needs and ease the financial burden on families struggling to afford educational expenses.

Speaking about the campaign, Veysel Yıldız, treasurer of the association, said preparations had begun as the start of the new school year approaches.

“With only a short time left until schools open, we as Umut Kervanı have started our work to provide stationery assistance to needy students. God willing, this support will be beneficial,” Yıldız said.

Explaining the contents of the aid packages, Yıldız said the association sought to ensure that students would have the basic materials required for their education.

“The bags contain three notebooks each, pens, pastel paints, watercolors and all the necessary stationery materials. We prepared them with the aim of meeting the essential needs of a student,” he said.

Yıldız said the association currently aims to provide stationery assistance to 100 students in Malatya, while stressing that the campaign could be expanded if additional donations are received.

“We will, God willing, provide stationery assistance to 100 students. May God reward the philanthropists and accept their good deeds. If more donations are made, we will be able to reach even more students,” he said.

The association expressed its appreciation to donors who have contributed to the campaign, emphasizing that such support can make a meaningful difference for families facing financial difficulties.

By providing school supplies before the academic year begins, Umut Kervanı aims to help needy children start their education with the materials they require while reducing the financial pressure on their families. (ILKHA)
