HÜDA PAR Istanbul visits flood-hit shopkeepers in Ayazağa after heavy rains
The Istanbul Provincial Branch of Free Cause Party (HÜDA PAR) visited shopkeepers affected by flooding in the Ayazağa neighbourhood of Sarıyer, one of the areas impacted by heavy rainfall in Istanbul.
Intermittent heavy rains that continued across Istanbul for three days caused flooding in residential areas, leaving metro stations, homes and workplaces under water and turning major roads into flooded areas.
HÜDA PAR Istanbul Provincial Chairman Mehmet Eşin, accompanied by a delegation, visited shopkeepers and residents in Ayazağa to listen to their problems and demands following the flooding.

Following the visits, HÜDA PAR Istanbul Provincial Branch prepared a report based on the statements of local residents and business owners.
According to the report, more than 100 shopkeepers were seriously affected by floodwaters that reached up to 1.5 metres in some areas. Many vehicles were also rendered unusable due to the flooding.
The report stated that response and recovery efforts remained slow and insufficient even 42 hours after the flooding, while power outages were still continuing in parts of the area.(ILKHA)
