HÜDA PAR leader calls for thorough investigation of Adana attack

HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu condemned the attack on HÜDA PAR provincial office in Adana.
In a tragic incident that took place at the HÜDA PAR Provincial Presidency in Türkiye's southern Adana province around 17:40 on Saturday, two assailants carried out a brutal machete attack during a prayer session, targeting Provincial Chairman Salih Demir and Provincial Secretary Sacit Pişgin.
The attack left Sacit Pişgin critically injured, and he was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. However, despite efforts to save his life, he tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced a martyr. On the other hand, Salih Demir sustained injuries but is reported to be in a stable condition, receiving medical care at the hospital.
Authorities took swift action, and a suspect with the initials A.S. has been detained by the police in connection with the attack.
HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu expressed his condemnation of the violent assault on the party's provincial office.
Taking to his Twitter account, he shared his heartfelt sorrow, stating: "Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. Our brother Sacid Pişgin, the Adana Provincial Secretary, who was attacked while performing prayer, has become a martyr, and our brother Salih Demir, the Provincial Chairman, is still under treatment. May Allah's mercy be upon our martyr. May curse be upon the murderer or murderers and the forces behind this heinous attack that target our party and our brothers. I pray for a swift recovery for our injured brother."
The party members and supporters are deeply saddened by the loss of their esteemed colleague, and they unite in praying for Sacit Pişgin's soul and Salih Demir's quick recovery. HÜDA PAR emphasizes the significance of thoroughly investigating the incident to shed light on all aspects surrounding the attack.
