Hundreds of children join ‘Life Is Beautiful With Prayer’ program in Antalya
Children gathered in Antalya for the “Life Is Beautiful With Prayer” initiative, a program organized to nurture a love of prayer among young people and emphasize the importance of worship in their daily lives.
The event brought together children who had received prayer education, families, educators and community members in a lively atmosphere centered on prayer, the mosque and Islamic values.
As part of the program, the children marched from in front of the Hüsnü Karakaş Representation of the Prophet Lovers Association to Mustafa Koç Mosque, chanting slogans along the route.
Upon reaching the mosque, the children performed two units of representative prayer. Following the prayer, they participated in tasbih recitation led by a young muezzin.
During the program, Muhammed Said Budak, a preacher from the Kepez Mufti’s Office, delivered a speech encouraging children to develop a lasting love of prayer.
Budak emphasized that prayer is not only an act of worship but also an expression of servitude to Allah, saying that prayer beautifies a person's life and strengthens the bond between the believer and their Lord.
The program also featured religious hymns performed by girls and boys on the themes of “Life Is Beautiful With Prayer” and “Hijab.” Their enthusiastic performances added a spiritual and joyful atmosphere to the gathering.
Addressing participants at the conclusion of the program, İsmail Tekin, president of the Prophet Lovers Association, stressed the importance of introducing children to prayer from an early age.
“We want our children to grow up with the mosque, the Holy Qur’an, and prayer. Because we believe that life is beautiful with prayer,” Tekin said, thanking the teachers, parents, students and everyone who contributed to the initiative.
He emphasized that encouraging children to become familiar with the mosque and prayer at a young age can help them build a strong spiritual foundation and carry Islamic values into their future lives.
The program concluded with the presentation of various awards to participating children.
The gathering ended in a joyful atmosphere, leaving children with memorable moments and reinforcing the message that prayer, the Qur’an and the mosque can have an important place in a believer’s life. (ILKHA)
