Turkish President Erdoğan heads to Uzbekistan to attend SCO summit

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan departed for Samarkand, Uzbekistan, at 10.20 to attend the 22nd Meeting of the Heads of State Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as a Special Guest.
Erdoğan was bid farewell by Vice President Fuat Oktay and other officials at Esenboğa Airport in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye.
Erdoğan is accompanied on his trip to Uzbekistan by First Lady Emine Erdoğan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez, Minister of Treasury and Finance Nureddin Nebati, Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, Minister of Trade Mehmet Muş, Director of the National Intelligence Organization Hakan Fidan, President of Defence Industries İsmail Demir, Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun, Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın and AK Party Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik.
