Afghan Industry Minister visits India to strengthen trade and investment ties
Nooruddin Azizi, Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, has commenced a high-level official visit to India, focusing on enhancing trade relations, attracting investment, and expanding the operational capabilities of Chabahar Port.
During the visit, Minister Azizi is set to participate in the Pragati Maidan Exhibition, a major hub for business and trade opportunities in India. He is also scheduled to meet with several senior Indian officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Commerce, and key representatives from the private sector.
The delegation aims to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral economic cooperation, facilitating Afghan trade through the strategic Chabahar Port, and fostering investment opportunities that benefit both nations.
Officials from both sides highlighted that the visit is expected to promote long-term economic partnership, increase connectivity, and create platforms for private-sector engagement, reflecting a shared commitment to regional trade and development.
