Gaza Media Office: Israel shattering ceasefire through systematic assaults on civilians
The Government Media Office in Gaza has strongly condemned what it describes as Israel’s deliberate, systematic, and escalating violations of the ceasefire agreement, warning that the occupation’s ongoing crimes are killing civilians and pushing the Strip toward renewed catastrophe.
In a statement released Tuesday evening, November 18, 2025, the office confirmed 393 documented Israeli violations since the ceasefire began—clear evidence, it said, that Israel is using the truce as a cover to continue its oppression and collective punishment of Palestinians.
According to the report, Israeli attacks have killed 279 Palestinians, including large numbers of children, women, and elderly people, while 652 others have been wounded, many suffering life-threatening injuries.
The GMO also documented the abduction of 35 Palestinians during Israeli raids and incursions, describing these arrests as part of an ongoing campaign of intimidation meant to destabilize Gaza and undermine the agreement.
Systematic Violations Meant to Break Palestinian Society
The office detailed a wide range of Israeli assaults that it says prove Israel has no intention of honoring the ceasefire:
-113 cases of direct gunfire targeting unarmed civilians, homes, displacement shelters, and residential neighborhoods
-17 armored incursions beyond the agreed temporary demarcation line into farmland and populated areas
-174 ground, aerial, and naval attacks, including drone strikes and artillery bombardments
85 demolitions of Palestinian homes and civilian structures—an effort the GMO called a “deliberate strategy to inflict large-scale destruction and collective punishment”
The statement warned that Israel’s refusal to respect the agreement threatens the already fragile humanitarian situation and could trigger further displacement, hunger, and instability for Gaza’s besieged population.
Gaza Demands Real International Pressure—Not Empty Statements
The GMO declared Israel fully responsible for the humanitarian disaster created by these violations. It urged US President Donald Trump, ceasefire guarantors, and the UN Security Council to stop enabling Israeli aggression through silence and to enforce accountability before conditions worsen further.
The office stressed that only real, effective international pressure—not symbolic diplomacy—can compel Israel to end its attacks and comply with international law.
Israeli Strikes Continue Despite Ceasefire
Israeli attacks continued on Wednesday across multiple regions of the Strip.
Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported that an Israeli drone strike injured several Palestinians in Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Younis. The Nasser Medical Complex confirmed that a woman and her young child were among those wounded behind the “Yellow Line.”
Meanwhile, Israeli artillery has been bombarding eastern Khan Younis, while Israeli warplanes carried out new raids in both Rafah and Khan Younis overnight, signaling a continued escalation.
In northern Gaza, artillery fire struck the al-Shaima area north of Beit Lahia, underscoring that Israel’s violations span the entire territory.
“Ceasefire in Name Only”
Gaza authorities warn that the current situation makes a mockery of the ceasefire, as Israel continues to target civilians with impunity.
They reiterate that the international community’s failure to intervene allows Israeli crimes to continue unchecked—endangering any chance for stability and placing Palestinian lives at greater risk. (ILKHA)
