Afghanistan's Acting Defense Minister Mawlavi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid met with Hamad bin Khamis al-Kubaisi, Deputy Secretary of Qatar's National Security Council, and his accompanying delegation in Kabul on Thursday.

The meeting focused on ways to further strengthen friendly relations between Afghanistan and Qatar and expand cooperation across various fields, according to officials.

The two sides discussed opportunities for closer engagement and reaffirmed their commitment to developing bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
