Afghanistan is committed to developing positive and constructive relations with all countries, Islamic Emirate spokesman Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid said in a recent television interview.

Mujahid said Afghanistan had made significant efforts to strengthen diplomatic ties with countries around the world and was seeking to resolve outstanding challenges through engagement and dialogue.

He said the Islamic Emirate’s foreign policy was focused on maintaining constructive relations with all nations while safeguarding Afghanistan’s national interests.

Mujahid has previously said that improved relations with Afghanistan would serve the interests of both the country and its international partners, and called on other governments to step up diplomatic engagement with Kabul.

He urged countries to adopt policies that would help strengthen bilateral relations and facilitate greater cooperation with Afghanistan.

The Islamic Emirate has repeatedly called for expanded diplomatic and economic engagement with Kabul, arguing that greater interaction would contribute to regional stability and create opportunities for cooperation in areas including trade, investment and development.

Afghanistan’s diplomatic outreach has continued as the Islamic Emirate seeks broader international engagement and the normalization of relations with other countries. (ILKHA)
