At least 15 dead, over 100 injured in Russian attacks across Ukraine
Russian attacks across Ukraine killed at least 15 people and injured at least 118 others over the past 24 hours, regional authorities said on Monday, as a morning strike on the central-eastern city of Dnipro added to the rising death toll.
According to Ukraine’s Air Force, Russia launched 108 drones overnight, of which 82 were reportedly shot down.
In the city of Dnipro, a morning Russian attack killed at least five people and injured 28 others, including four in critical condition, regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha said. Authorities have not yet confirmed the type of weapon used in the strike on the city, which lies more than 100 kilometers from the front line.
In Zaporizhzhia Oblast in southeastern Ukraine, six people were killed and 34 injured over the past day, according to regional governor Ivan Fedorov. Among the incidents was a strike on a minibus, which killed two people and injured six others, including a child.
In Kharkiv Oblast in northeastern Ukraine, two people were killed and 25 injured, including two children, regional governor Oleh Syniehubov said. The injured children include a 10-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy, both hurt in a village south of Kharkiv.
In Sumy Oblast, at least two people were killed and nine wounded in Russian strikes, according to regional military authorities.
In Chernihiv Oblast, a drone strike hit a gas station, injuring a worker at the site, governor Viacheslav Chaus said.
In Donetsk Oblast, at least seven people were wounded, while in Kherson Oblast, 14 people were injured in continued Russian attacks over the same period.
The latest wave of strikes underscores the continued intensity of the war across multiple front-line and rear regions of Ukraine, with civilian areas repeatedly coming under fire. (ILKHA)
