At least nine Palestinians killed in Israeli drone attacks on displacement camp in Gaza

At least nine Palestinians were killed and several others wounded in two separate Israeli drone strikes on Friday, as the ongoing aggression in Gaza continues to devastate civilian life.
Local sources reported that the first attack targeted a displacement camp in southern Gaza, while the second hit a food kitchen in the north, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the besieged enclave.
The first strike took place near Asdaa City in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis. According to eyewitnesses, the Israeli drone targeted an encampment of tents sheltering displaced families. The attack killed three civilians and left several others injured. These families had been forced to flee their homes due to ongoing Israeli airstrikes in the region, seeking refuge in temporary shelters.
In a separate incident, an Israeli drone bombed a charity kitchen near the Abdel Aal intersection on Al-Jalaa Street in northern Gaza City. The kitchen, which was distributing food to those in need, was struck as civilians had gathered to receive their meal. Six people were killed in the attack, and several others were wounded.
Medical sources confirmed that the death toll from these strikes has risen to at least 30 Palestinians across Gaza since dawn on Friday. The continued bombardment of civilian infrastructure and humanitarian sites comes as the region faces a rapidly worsening humanitarian crisis, with safe zones increasingly targeted by Israeli forces.
Since the beginning of the Israeli assault on Gaza in October 2023, more than 52,000 Palestinians have been killed, according to official reports, and over 118,000 others have been injured. The true number of casualties is feared to be much higher, as thousands of victims remain trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings. Emergency and civil defense teams have been unable to access these areas due to ongoing Israeli airstrikes and ground attacks.
The international community, including the United Nations Security Council, has repeatedly called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, but Israel's attacks continue without pause. The International Court of Justice has also urged measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the growing humanitarian disaster in the region. Despite these calls for intervention, Israel's military actions show no sign of abating, and the civilian population of Gaza remains at grave risk.
As the death toll continues to rise and humanitarian conditions worsen, the international community faces increasing pressure to take decisive action to end the violence and provide aid to the Palestinian people. (ILKHA)
