Death toll in Gaza rises to 50,082 as Israeli onslaught continues

At least five displaced Palestinian civilians were killed and 13 others wounded on Monday after Israeli occupation forces bombed a tent sheltering families at Al-Razi School in Nuseirat Camp 2, located in the central Gaza Strip.
According to local sources, the makeshift shelter—set up to house those displaced by months of relentless Israeli bombardment—was directly hit in the latest escalation of violence. The injured were transferred to Al-Awda Hospital for urgent treatment.
The attack is part of a broader resumption of what Palestinians and rights groups have described as a campaign of extermination against the besieged population of Gaza. Since Israeli forces reignited their military offensive last Tuesday, approximately 600 Palestinians have been killed and more than 1,000 wounded by Thursday evening—70% of them children, women, and the elderly.
Medical sources report that over the past 24 hours alone, Israeli forces carried out a series of massacres across the Gaza Strip, killing at least 61 people and injuring 134 others.
The Gaza Health Ministry confirmed that the Palestinian death toll since October 7, 2023, has now reached a staggering 50,082, with an additional 113,408 people wounded. The vast majority of the victims are civilians, including women and children.
Emergency services continue to face severe challenges, as Israeli forces have repeatedly targeted ambulances and civil defense teams. Numerous bodies remain trapped under the rubble or on roadways, inaccessible due to ongoing attacks and the deliberate targeting of rescue efforts.
Despite mounting global pressure, including calls for a ceasefire by the United Nations Security Council and legal directives from the International Court of Justice to prevent genocide, Israel's military campaign in Gaza shows no sign of slowing. Human rights organizations and international observers have condemned the assault as a systematic and deliberate extermination of a trapped civilian population.
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to deepen, with hundreds of thousands displaced, medical infrastructure on the brink of collapse, and humanitarian aid severely restricted under the Israeli-imposed blockade. (ILKHA)
