Hamas urges global participation in International Day of Solidarity With the Palestinian People
The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has called on Muslims and supporters of the Palestinian cause worldwide to actively participate in events marking the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, observed annually on November 29.
In a statement carried by Palestine’s Sama News on Saturday, Hamas emphasized the importance of intensifying global efforts against the ongoing Israeli occupation and what it described as the regime’s escalating crimes targeting Palestinians and their land.
The movement said international solidarity remains crucial in backing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people as they continue their struggle for freedom, dignity and independence.
Hamas urged Muslims, activists and “freedom-seekers” across the globe to use the international observance as an opportunity to raise their voices against Israel’s violations of the ceasefire in Gaza, as well as the regime’s “terrorist actions” in the occupied West Bank and Al-Quds.
According to the statement, increased public pressure could strengthen calls to open all border crossings, facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, and pave the way for reconstruction efforts in the besieged territory.
The group also expressed appreciation for the wave of worldwide demonstrations, grassroots actions, and official stances supporting the Palestinian cause, crediting them with amplifying global awareness of what it described as nearly eight decades of Israeli “fascist occupation and brutality,” backed by the United States.
Hamas urged continued unity in supporting Palestinians “until the end of the occupation,” stressing that the international community has a moral responsibility to uphold Palestinian rights — including the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.
The statement reaffirmed that all of Palestine, including Al-Quds and the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, is Palestinian land, and insisted that all forms of resistance — especially armed resistance — remain legitimate under international norms. (ILKHA)
