Iranian President Pezeshkian to visit Pakistan on Tuesday
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is set to travel to Pakistan on Tuesday for a one-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and holding consultations with Pakistani leaders.
The announcement was made by Habibollah Abbasi, Director of Public Relations at the President's Office, who said the visit would focus on discussions between senior officials of the two neighboring countries and the advancement of mutual cooperation.
According to Iranian officials, one of the key objectives of the trip is to express appreciation to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for Islamabad's mediation efforts between Iran and the United States.
The visit is also expected to provide an opportunity for both sides to continue high-level consultations on regional and international developments, while reviewing avenues for expanding political, economic and trade cooperation.
Iranian and Pakistani officials are expected to discuss the implementation and follow-up of previously signed economic agreements, as well as mechanisms for enhancing bilateral coordination in areas of shared interest.
The trip comes amid growing diplomatic engagement between Tehran and Islamabad and reflects efforts by both countries to strengthen cooperation through regular dialogue and high-level exchanges.
