Israeli forces demolish agricultural structures near Ramallah

Israeli occupation forces carried out a demolition operation early Wednesday in the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, targeting Palestinian agricultural infrastructure in what residents describe as a deliberate attempt to displace farmers and undermine livelihoods.
According to local sources, Israeli bulldozers—accompanied by military personnel—demolished several agricultural rooms and fences, filled in water wells, and razed cultivated land in the Al-Khalayel area, located in the southern part of the village.
The destruction of the structures comes amid an ongoing pattern of land confiscation and forced displacement by Israeli authorities across the occupied West Bank, particularly in Area C, which remains under full Israeli control.
Residents of Al-Mughayyir condemned the demolitions, saying they were part of a broader campaign to pressure Palestinian farmers off their lands and expand illegal Israeli settlement activity in the surrounding areas. The village has been the site of repeated attacks by settlers and incursions by occupation forces in recent months.
Human rights organizations have long denounced the demolition of Palestinian property as a violation of international law, particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention, which prohibits an occupying power from destroying private property unless absolutely necessary for military operations.
The latest incident adds to growing concerns over escalating Israeli actions in the West Bank, as tensions remain high across the occupied territories. (ILKHA)
