Morocco: Hundreds protest in Tangier against Israeli blockade on Gaza
Hundreds of Moroccans took to the streets of Tangier on Sunday evening to protest the ongoing Israeli blockade of Gaza, demonstrating solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Organized by the Moroccan Front in Support of Palestine, the demonstration featured participants waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans such as “Freedom for Gaza” and “End the Blockade.” The protest reflected local opposition to what organizers described as “Zionist and American hegemonic policies” in the region.
Speakers at the rally urged Arab and international communities to adopt a stronger and more courageous stance in support of Palestinian resistance. They condemned repeated Israeli violations of ceasefire agreements, highlighting the ongoing targeting of civilians in Gaza.
The protest also drew attention to the humanitarian crisis caused by the blockade. Participants noted that, despite ceasefire agreements implemented in October, Israeli authorities continue to restrict the entry of essential food and aid supplies into Gaza, worsening the suffering of its population.
Demonstrators called for grassroots solidarity and greater global awareness, emphasizing the need for sustained international pressure to lift the blockade and protect the rights and dignity of Gazans. (ILKHA)
