Mosque opened in Benin in memory of martyred HÜDA PAR official
A mosque has been inaugurated in the Katuka region of Saba, Benin, in honor of Sacit Pişgin, a HÜDA PAR Adana Provincial Secretary and Hope Caravan Foundation volunteer who was tragically killed in a stabbing attack in July 2023.
The mosque, constructed by the Hope Caravan Foundation, is intended to meet the spiritual needs of the approximately 350-400 members of the Fulata Tribe residing in the region and surrounding villages. The foundation highlighted the importance of establishing a place of worship in an area where such facilities were previously unavailable.
The grand opening ceremony, marked by prayers, was attended by Hope Caravan officials along with local community members, underscoring the mosque's role in enhancing the religious and social life of the area. (ILKHA)
