Orphans Foundation, an international help organization, has provided hot meals to hundreds of people in Paktika province where a 6.1 magnitude quake killed more than 1,000 people.
“In cooperation with Bashair Foundation, we have provided hot meals to more than 500 people affected by the earthquake in Gayan district of Paktika province. We will continue to distribute hot meals to at least 500 people for 5 days in a row in the earthquake-affected areas. We also will distribute food parcels to these people,” an Orphans Foundation official said.
The official also called on philanthropists to donate to the foundation’s charity projects in Afghanistan where 42 percent of the total population lives below the poverty line. (ILKHA)
