Palestinian armed groups accuse Palestinian Authority of oppressing civilians in Jenin

The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, an armed coalition aligned with Fatah, have issued a joint statement accusing the Palestinian Authority (PA) of crossing "all red lines" by targeting innocent Palestinians.
In a press conference reported by the Palestinian Information Center, the groups condemned the PA’s actions in the Jenin refugee camp, including depriving residents of essential services like water, electricity, and education. They described these measures as oppressive and warned that such policies could escalate the crisis to a dangerous and irreversible level.
The groups urged Palestinians to stand united against what they called the PA's “oppressive measures” and claimed that these actions benefit the Israeli regime.
The criticism follows recent operations by the PA’s security forces in the Jenin camp, which have led to deadly clashes between resistance fighters and the PA. Several civilians have been killed in these confrontations over the past few months, further fueling tensions in the volatile area.
The joint statement is a rare move by the two factions, underscoring growing frustration with the PA’s policies in Palestinian territories. The PA has yet to respond to the accusations, but the situation remains tense as residents in Jenin and across the West Bank await further developments. (ILKHA)
