Pezeshkian: Iranian retaliation will make Israel regret its crime

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has vowed a decisive and legitimate response to the Israeli regime’s act of aggression, declaring that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not remain silent in the face of such crimes.
In a nationally televised address on Friday, President Pezeshkian condemned the Israeli regime’s brutal attack, describing it as a flagrant violation of international law and a clear demonstration of the regime’s criminal and inhumane nature.
“The Iranian nation and the country's officials will not remain silent in the face of this crime,” Pezeshkian stated. “The legitimate and powerful response from the Islamic Republic of Iran will make the enemy regret its foolish action.”
He emphasized that the attack has once again exposed the true face of the Zionist regime on the global stage — a regime he characterized as aggressive and child-killing, operating with complete disregard for human life and international norms.
President Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran’s long-standing commitment to peace and dialogue. “Just as the Islamic Republic has made every effort to achieve peace and tranquility in the world and the region, and has shown its readiness for long-term dialogue and confidence-building, it will also act decisively in response to aggression and in the legitimate defense of the country’s territorial integrity,” he said.
In closing, the president expressed confidence in the strength and unity of the Iranian people. “The Iranian nation will pass through this difficult time, as it has in the past, by maintaining its unity and standing firm in defense of its sovereignty.”
President Pezeshkian’s remarks come amid widespread national mourning and heightened tensions following the Israeli strikes, which targeted high-ranking Iranian officials and strategic infrastructure, including nuclear facilities. The nation now awaits Iran’s promised response with unwavering resolve. (ILKHA)
