Russia records 26,402 daily confirmed cases of COVID-19

26,402 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Russia, bringing the number of cases in the country to 2,322,056.
The country’s death toll from the virus has reached 40,464, an increase of 569 deaths in the last 24 hours.
1,803,467 patients suffering from coronavirus have been discharged from hospital after being cured.
Russia was relatively late in suffering a serious outbreak, but currently, Russia has the second-highest number of confirmed cases in Europe after France, and the fifth-highest in the world after the United States, India, Brazil, and France.
The city of Moscow is currently the most affected federal subject, having the majority of confirmed cases.
