Tajikistan delegation holds talks in Kabul to boost bilateral cooperation
A high-level government delegation from Tajikistan arrived in Kabul for talks aimed at expanding political and economic cooperation with the Afghan government, officials said on Monday.
The delegation, led by Tajikistan’s Special Representative, met with Afghanistan’s Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, to discuss strengthening bilateral ties and advancing joint regional initiatives.
According to the Afghan Foreign Ministry, the discussions centered on enhancing political relations, improving economic cooperation, and pursuing regional projects that would benefit both nations.
Muttaqi underscored Afghanistan’s commitment to maintaining “trust-based, understanding, and brotherly relations” with Tajikistan, noting that Kabul seeks deeper engagement with all neighboring countries.
The Tajik delegation reaffirmed Dushanbe’s readiness to expand practical cooperation with Afghanistan and highlighted the importance of sustained dialogue. Both sides agreed that continued high-level visits are essential to advancing mutual interests and deepening future cooperation. (ILKHA)
