Three Palestinians were martyred and several others wounded in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, according to Palestinian sources, amid continued reports of ceasefire violations in several parts of the enclave.
The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reported that Izzuddin al-Bayk, described as a commander of Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades in northern Gaza, was killed along with another Palestinian in an Israeli airstrike targeting an apartment in Gaza City's al-Nasr neighborhood before dawn.
Several other people were reportedly wounded in the strike, although the exact number was not immediately available.
Elsewhere, Palestinian sources said a civilian identified as Ahmed Abu Mur was killed by Israeli gunfire while he was in the Salahuddin Street area of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.
Israeli forces also carried out a large-scale demolition operation using explosives east of Deir al-Balah, according to the reports. The operation was accompanied by artillery shelling targeting areas on the city's eastern outskirts.
Other parts of the Gaza Strip also witnessed Israeli military activity, including gunfire, artillery bombardment and drone flights, according to Palestinian sources.
The latest attacks came despite a ceasefire that has been accompanied by repeated allegations of violations by both sides.
On Monday afternoon, Amal al-Ajlah was killed and her husband was critically wounded when an Israeli strike hit an apartment in Gaza City's al-Tuffah neighborhood, according to Palestinian reports.
The continuing attacks have added to concerns over the durability of the ceasefire and the safety of civilians across Gaza, where large numbers of Palestinians remain displaced and humanitarian needs remain severe.
Palestinian officials and humanitarian organizations have repeatedly called for an end to attacks on civilians and for the full implementation of the ceasefire, including measures to ensure sustained humanitarian access to the Gaza Strip.
The latest incidents were reported as negotiations and international diplomatic efforts continued to consolidate the ceasefire and prevent a renewed escalation in the territory. (ILKHA)
