Zelensky to visit Türkiye to 'reinvigorate' stalled peace talks with Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he will visit Türkiye tomorrow to intensify dialogue aimed at finding solutions to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
In a statement X, Zelensky stated that he will hold high-level meetings in Türkiye and emphasized the urgency of renewing negotiations. “We are preparing to revive negotiations and have developed solutions to present to our partners. Doing everything possible to bring an end to the war remains Ukraine’s top priority,” he said.
The Ukrainian president also highlighted efforts to reestablish prisoner exchanges and ensure that Ukrainian war prisoners return home safely.
The visit underscores the strategic importance of Türkiye as a partner in facilitating dialogue and regional stability. Officials expect discussions to cover key issues, including ongoing humanitarian efforts, conflict resolution measures, and mechanisms for prisoner exchanges.
