Türkiye sees significant increases in chicken meat and egg production
The Turkish Statistical Institute reported a substantial rise in poultry production for the month of October.
The data indicates that chicken meat production reached 227,675 tonnes, while hen egg production soared to 1.88 billion units.
In October, hen egg production increased by 2.6% compared to the same month last year. The number of slaughtered chickens rose by 9.5%, chicken meat production grew by 11.6%, and turkey meat production saw a slight uptick of 0.2%.
For the January-October period, hen egg production climbed by 4.5%, the number of slaughtered chickens by 7.1%, chicken meat production by 6.8%, and turkey meat production by a notable 15.4%, compared to the same period of the previous year.
Hen egg production, which stood at 1 billion 828 million 30 thousand units in the previous month, increased by 2.9% to reach 1 billion 881 million 358 thousand units in October. (ILKHA)
