Turkey records 217 coronavirus deaths, 26,217 new cases within 24 hours
217 more people have died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the disease to 68,917, Turkey’s Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said in a statement on Saturday.
According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 7,259,585, after 26,217 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.
While at least 633 patients are in critical condition, more than 7 million patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.
More than 94 million tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country. (ILKHA)
