The Hope Caravan Association (Umut Kervanı) in Türkiye's southern province of Adana has distributed food and clothing assistance to dozens of low-income families as part of its ongoing monthly humanitarian aid program.

The association said the initiative is aimed at helping vulnerable households meet their basic needs through regular support programs carried out across the city.

As part of the latest campaign, volunteers distributed food packages and clothing to registered families in need. While many beneficiaries collected the aid from the association's headquarters, volunteer teams also delivered assistance directly to the homes of elderly residents, people with illnesses, and families unable to travel.

The association said the monthly aid program is designed to provide consistent support for disadvantaged households facing economic hardship.

Speaking at the association's headquarters, Umut Kervanı Adana President Abidin Serin said the organization remains committed to continuing its humanitarian efforts without interruption.

"We carry out regular assistance activities every month. This month, we provided both food aid and clothing support to families in need," Serin said.

He noted that applications for assistance continue throughout the year and emphasized that each case is carefully reviewed before support is approved.

"We conduct social investigations based on the applications we receive. Once we determine that a family is genuinely in need, we register them and begin providing regular assistance," he said.

Serin added that the association's humanitarian activities are made possible through donations from charitable individuals and thanked supporters for their continued contributions.

"May Allah bless the lives, children and livelihoods of our generous benefactors who support these efforts," he said. "We pray that their assistance continues and grows."

Hope Caravan operates humanitarian and social assistance programs across Türkiye, providing food, clothing, financial aid and other forms of support to vulnerable families through the contributions of donors and volunteers. (ILKHA)
