HÜDA PAR to hold absentee funeral prayer for martyrs at Fatih Mosque in Istanbul
HÜDA PAR Istanbul Provincial Chairman Mehmet Eşin has announced that an absentee funeral prayer will be held for the martyrs in the courtyard of Istanbul’s historic Fatih Mosque following the Friday prayer.
In a public statement, Eşin said the prayer will take place immediately after the Friday congregational prayer and will be dedicated to martyrs, with particular remembrance given to Abu Ubaida, described as one of the symbolic figures of the Gaza resistance.
Sharing the announcement on his social media account, Eşin stated that the gathering would serve not only as a moment of remembrance but also as an opportunity to renew commitment and solidarity with the martyrs. He emphasized that the absentee funeral prayer would be a collective act of respect, prayer, and renewed resolve.
Eşin also extended an open invitation to the public, calling on all citizens to attend the gathering in the courtyard of Fatih Mosque after the Friday prayer.
The announcement comes amid heightened public attention in Türkiye to events in Gaza, with political parties, civil society groups, and religious communities continuing to organize prayers, demonstrations, and solidarity actions in support of Palestinians. (ILKHA)
