National Security Council convenes under President Erdoğan’s chairmanship

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is chairing the meeting of the National Security Council (MGK).
A statement will be released after the meeting, which is being held at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, the capital of Turkey.
The National Security Council (MGK) is the principal government agency used by the President of Turkey for consideration of national security, military, and foreign policy matters with senior national security officials, and for coordinating these policies among various government agencies.
Like the national security councils of other countries, the MGK develops the national security policy. (ILKHA)
