Türkiye's Ministry of National Defence (MSB) said the Israel regime's actions in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria continue to fuel regional instability and now pose a threat not only to the Middle East but to the entire world.

The remarks were made during the ministry's weekly press briefing, held aboard the amphibious assault ship TCG Anadolu off the coast of Aksaz as part of the Distinguished Observer Day activities of the Denizkurdu-I Exercise.

Speaking at the briefing, Ministry spokesperson Rear Admiral Zeki Aktürk also provided an update on Türkiye's recent security operations, saying three PKK members had surrendered to Turkish authorities over the past week.

Border security operations continue

Aktürk said Turkish border units detained 671 people attempting to cross the country's borders illegally during the past week, including two PKK members.

An additional 1,069 people were prevented from crossing the border.

According to the ministry, since the beginning of the year, Turkish security forces have detained 11,994 people attempting illegal border crossings and prevented 51,338 others from crossing.

Türkiye condemns attacks by the Israel regime

Addressing developments in the Middle East, Aktürk said the Israel regime continues its systematic attacks and expansionist policies, which have further destabilized the region.

He said attacks in Gaza continue to kill women and children indiscriminately, while the regime is encouraging illegal settler violence and blocking the entry of fuel and construction materials intended for humanitarian assistance.

According to the ministry, these restrictions are preventing displaced Palestinians from meeting their shelter needs and disrupting the operation of hospitals across the Gaza Strip.

Attacks on Lebanon and Syria also condemned

Aktürk said the Israel regime continues its military operations in southern Lebanon, where it is carrying out destruction in violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions.

He also accused Israel of continuing attacks on populated areas in southern Syria.

"The actions of Israel, which are further eroding public confidence in international law, constitute a threat not only to the region but to the world," Aktürk said.

"We once again emphasize that Israel must immediately end these actions, which violate international law."(ILKHA)
