Prophet Lovers Foundation marks Mawlid al-Nabi, prays for liberation of Muslim lands
The Peygamber Sevdalıları Vakfı (Prophet Lovers Foundation) has marked the Hijri Mawlid al-Nabi by highlighting the profound significance of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) for humanity and expressing hope that the occasion will become a means for the liberation of Muslim lands, particularly Palestine, Gaza and Lebanon.
In a statement commemorating the 1,500th anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), Feyzi Aydın, head of promotion and media at the foundation, described the Prophet’s birth as the beginning of a profound transformation that carried humanity from servitude to people to tawhid, from oppression to justice and from savagery to civilization.
Aydın said that humanity, once again surrounded by oppression, conflict and darkness, is in urgent need of the Prophet’s guidance and the luminous message he brought.
Aydın opened his statement with praise and gratitude to Allah and prayers for Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), his Ahl al-Bayt, companions, scholars, martyrs and all believers who follow his path.
Referring to the Quranic description of the Prophet as an “illuminating lamp” and “a mercy to the worlds,” Aydın said Muslims were experiencing the spiritual joy of commemorating his blessed birth.
He stressed that Mawlid al-Nabi is not merely a commemoration but also an opportunity for Muslims to renew their connection with the Prophet’s example, teachings and divine guidance.
Aydın said the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) marked a historic turning point for humanity.
“With that luminous birth, the dark and foul veils of the world were torn apart, and the light of the Truth prevailed over the fortresses of oppression,” he said.
He described the Prophet’s mission as a transformative revolution that freed humanity from servitude to people and directed it toward tawhid and the worship of Allah, while replacing oppression with justice and savagery with civilization.
According to Aydın, the Prophet’s birth and the divine revelation he conveyed shattered the darkness of oppression and opened the way for humanity to reclaim its dignity and honor.
Aydın said the suffering and oppression witnessed around the world today are, in part, a consequence of humanity’s departure from the Prophet’s teachings, example and guidance.
He accused Zionists of desecrating Muslim holy sites, particularly Masjid al-Aqsa, and said Palestine and Gaza have become symbols of profound suffering and oppression.
“The Islamic geography, especially Palestine-Gaza, has turned into a geography of oppression due to internal and external factors, and the oppressed have come to await a hand of mercy that will reach out to them,” he said.
Against this backdrop, Aydın described Mawlid al-Nabi as a source of hope and a means of spiritual and social revival for Muslims facing a period of conflict, injustice and suffering.
Aydın described the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) as a source of hope, renewal and mercy for the Muslim Ummah.
He said the occasion should remind Muslims that faith, justice, compassion and adherence to divine guidance can illuminate even the darkest periods.
“The birth of our master Hazrat Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), the mercy to the worlds, is a means of revival and mercy for the Ummah that accepts ‘hope as the child of faith,’” Aydın said.
He added that the Prophet’s message remains a source of guidance for humanity and a powerful moral framework for confronting injustice and oppression.
Aydın said commemorating Mawlid al-Nabi should also serve as a reminder of the responsibility to stand against oppression and defend the dignity of the oppressed.
He described the celebration of the Prophet’s birth as a “herald of the collapse” of contemporary oppression and said the Muslim world continues to await a new revival through the light of the Prophet’s guidance.
He concluded by congratulating the entire Muslim Ummah on Mawlid al-Nabi and praying that the occasion would become a means for the liberation of Muslim lands, particularly Palestine, Gaza and Lebanon.
“We pray to our Lord that our Mawlid al-Nabi may serve as a means for the liberation of all Islamic lands, especially Palestine, Gaza, and Lebanon,” Aydın said. (ILKHA)
